Lois Kemmet, MSW, LICSW, believes that we can learn from our past, identify and change patterns, overcome negative messages and thoughts, and build on positive behavior. This process can have a positive impact on how you feel about yourself, your relationships, and mood. Lois specializes in Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Lois also provides individual supervision and / or consultation to masters level social workers.

Therapy to adults and couples to help resolve or improve quality of life in the following areas:

  • Mental Health: low self- esteem, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress, panic, and other mood disorders.
  • Overcoming the Impact of Trauma: past abuse, neglect, sexual assault, domestic violence, or other forms of trauma.
  • Relationship Issues: with family, peers, and or spouse/partner.
  • Life Transitions and Change: divorce, parenting struggles, caring for a parent or spouse, job loss/stress, women’s health issues, weight gain/food issues, fertility or adoption issues, coping with chronic illness or aging, graduation and or career decisions, “empty nest” for parents, and other chronic stress.
  • Grief & Loss: through death, pregnancy loss, a relationship ending, health issues, disability and/or amputation.
