My approach emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between myself and the client. I believe it is important to have a good therapeutic relationship with the individual so that I can help them in their journey. Part of the importance of the relationship is to be able to have the trust in me to disclose what the barriers are to achieving what the person wants and it allows me to at times challenge them. For some people their journey will need to include healing from past events and for some they just hit a rough spot in their journey. I have been doing this work for over 35 years.
Specialties: Depression, anxiety, addiction and trauma/PTSD
Education: Master’s degree in social work from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bachelor’s degree in social work from Winona University.
Personal blurb: I am married and we have three amazing grandchildren. I enjoy time with my grandchildren, family and friends. I enjoy the times I get to play with our grandchildren, going camping, bicycling, motorcycling and just being in nature. We recently got a different motorhome so hoping can even do more camping. All of this is possible because I have over 40 years of sobriety.
