Couples Family Child Teen Counseling | Burnsville MN | Cashman Center

Who we are

We are a group of providers with different licenses and specialties who all believe that talk therapy is usually not the end all for mental health. We feel like sometimes you just need a massage too. Maybe an acupuncture session, or 5. Maybe do some art after…it really isn’t as simple as they made it sound to us in the DSM. At least that is what we all think.

We opened in 2012 and have always been kind of weird in a good way.

Before COVID-19 (2020) we had a handful of wonderful integrative services being offered and an entire Cancer Wellness program which had to be stopped indefinitely for safety. This has been sad for us! We are still trying to figure all of this out.

We have offices in Burnsville, Eden Prairie, and in Crystal. They all offer a different vibe. Deciding where you belong (or if you just belong at home) is kind of like the Harry Potter sorting hat situation.

What we offer

  • Best mental health center administration team (billing, front desk/scheduling, credentialing, ops) in the state. This is not a joke, they are un-freaking-real.
  • Hybrid model friendly. Want to do telehealth? We support that. Want to do direct care? We support that. Want to do a little of both? Love it. Build your own job that you want to come to and we will help make that happen.
  • Competitive percentage/compensation. We can’t give you 100 percent of what you make due to the best admin team in the state thing and because we have to pay for . But hey, let’s talk about how you want to build your career and we will see how we can support you financially! We have done the research and know how to be competitive in the market.
  • We are a private practice on training wheels. You are on your own in some ways and do need to do some networking. But we offer strong support from our admins and other providers. Depending on how you structure your job, it may not even feel like private practice.
  • Clinical and legal guidance through COVID-19 changes
  • Typically we have a beautiful building in Burnsville too but we haven’t been working inside of it for a couple of years so it got dusty and weird in there. If you want to apply now, do not judge the painting and remodeling going on there.
  • Weekly case consultations and staff meetings you can tune into online or in person.
  • We understand the low key terror some providers have about coming back in to the office and that you might have a whirlwind of feelings upon doing so. Not sure how this is something we offer but it seemed appropriate for this section.
  • Procentive.
About Cashman Center

Tidbits

  • If you have a PhD we think you’re amazing. If you have an LMFT we think you’re amazing. LPCC, amazing. If you’re not licensed yet, we think you’re amazing. School is hard man.
  • We used to offer a bunch of snacks/beverages for clients and have extravagant sitting areas, but we don’t anymore because of COVID and it is weird. We do offer coffee bar area for staff though as we understand caffeine is critical for work.
  • We are pretty open to any ideas you have for your practice. You can do any group or class that you want, decide what ages you want to see, etc.
  • We are also working with staff to build the new model. Not being able to do in person care was super hard for us because we had a primarily integrative model. Where we go next will be created collaboratively with our staff and will be focused on hybrid friendly perks for both clients and staff. Times are crazy. We are working on an app right now for consultation…an actual app….3 years ago most of us didn’t even provide telemedicine.

Requirements

  • Experience/competency (but we will leave that open…send us a resume!)
  • Desire to work on an integrative team
  • Desire for independence and freedom in practice
  • An ability to do basic networking with referral sources (we are a private practice with assistance to our staff)
  • Would be cool if you were nice most of the time (we do not expect perfection)
  • Must practice ethically as required by your board

Begin moving forward, mind and body.
